Last February I shot jewelry designer and friend, Avril-Maud Giese's new Chandelier Collection from her line Machete Designs.
The pieces are quite stunning.

Studio Days
Finally more days like these to come.
There really is no better team then Neil Mota, Thao & Paco Puertas. This series is going to be badass.

Abandoned Areas: Series #1
Old fascination, new project.
Photographer/boyfriend/partner Alex Kamino and I have been seeking out abandoned areas to photograph in several series, each one dedicated to a specific location. We have a few ideas about what we want to do with them, but nothing concrete at the moment - for now it's just fun.
Here are a few from my set, shot with a Nikkormat FT2 on Ilford HP5 Plus 400 black & white film.

Anne Carson's "Short Talks"
I'm in the midst of compiling a poetry portfolio as I am writing these lines. While I was searching for inspiration, I came across Canadian poet Anne Carson. I find her simply brilliant and the angst that has been building in my chest since Sunday has dissipated partially from reading her "Short Talks".
My two favorites:
Short Talk On Walking Backwards
My mother forbad us to walk backwards. That is how the dead walk, she would say.
Where did she get this idea? Perhaps from a bad translation. The dead, after all, do
not walk backwards but they do walk behind us. They have no lungs and cannot call
out but would love for us to turn around. They are victims of love, many of them.
Short Talk on the Sensation of Aeroplane Takeoff
Well you know I wonder, it could be love running towards my life with its arms up
yelling let's buy it what a bargain!

My congratulations go out to Miss Bloody Mary Anne for the fantastic write-up in this month's Nightlife Magazine (which happens to feature one of my photographs from the Sci-Fi show - insert smile here).

Blackberry Photography
Due to a recent hardware upgrade the quality of my blackberry photographs has increased tenfold, which sort of now defeats the original purpose of these features, but I will keep them going in order to honor my loathing of camera phones.
