Severed Heads Will Bloom
Pastorale - 2006
Wax
Cornucopia - 2007
Polyester resin, wax
Mouton Antoinette - 2008
Polyester resin, wax
Souvenir - 2005
Bronze
Narcissus - 2000
Wax, cast aluminium, silver leaf
Some of London sculptor Rebecca Stevenson's work. Her pieces bring a strong visual to the idea of "beautiful decay". I especially fancy Pastorale and Narcissus. Not crazy about the sculptures being made of wax. At first glance I assumed they were of stone and somehow find that would have been even more striking, but love the end result none the less.

Piss in the Pool 2011
So it's been a year since my proverbial cherry has been popped regarding the contemporary dance scene - now my favorite subject to photograph (thank you Andrew Tay for giving me such amazing opportunities). Last week was the 7th edition of Wants&Needs Danse's Piss in the Pool. Reviews were unanimous - hands down one of the best editions of this show.
For those unfamiliar with the concept.
"Piss in the Pool gives nine emerging choreographers the opportunity to create and present site specific work. This exciting event moves experimental dance out of the theatre and into the Bain St.Michel, an empty indoor pool located in the heart of Plateau Montreal.
The idea: Using their surroundings as inspiration choreographers have 10 days to adapt their unique visions to this unconventional space.
The Purpose: To give 9 diverse choreographic voices the chance to be heard and to challenge the notion that contemporary dance is heavy and abstract, by creating an atmosphere that is fun and unpretentious. Featuring swimsuit clad ushers and whistle wielding MC's the show is sure to excite the seasoned dance fan and newcomers alike."

Abandoned Areas: Series #2
Some black & whites with a new type of film I had never tried before and that I am now in love with. The color photos were shot on transparency film, then cross processed.
Another project related to this space (in which I had a small part) - do what you can
