What a great way to start the day... It had been too long.
The above photo was taken by Cash! Little guy is going to take after his father.

Involved II @ Studio 303
Last Saturday, Andrew Tay and Sasha Kleinplatz from Wants&Needs Danse curated their second edition of Involved: a series of pieces that question the relationship between choreographer, performer and audience. In other words, the audience was asked to participate in various ways throughout the show. At some instances humorous and at others contemplative, the highlight of the night in my opinion was Tay’s experiment involving a physical separation between the audience and the performance by use of a transparent membrane, a rather beautiful play on light, shadow, textures and reflections.

Iron Maiden on my Heart
If only the phantom gashes you inflicted in my chest were as shallow as my breath at this very moment.
But they are not.
They are deep, dark, gaping.
Is it to see the effects your actions have on my insides that you wrench them open every so often?
I am your sick lab rat. Your pet freak.
How many minutes do you have to hold that pillow over my head till I suffocate?
How far will you bend me over till my back breaks?
Who wants to know? You do.
You go too far. But I won’t tell you because
I am silenced by your mouth on mine, as you tear my flesh apart with your bare hands.
What it is you are looking for, I will never know.
You've called me your bitch so many times, I believe you now.
So your bitch I’ll be.
Go ahead, use me.

It's a Bummer When...
You know that the potential 'things' you'd really wish for on your birthday just won't come true no matter how simple, so it's better to forget them.
Birthdays: overrated checkpoints in life where you get to reflect on the disappointments of the passed year and wonder if the next one will be able to top them.
It's my birthday (tomorrow), I'll bitch if I want to. I'm stuck doing an open mic night at Grumpy's.
