I would like to thank Maya Fuhr for showcasing my "Market Musings" editorial on her super fun website, MSG&ME. Loved the site's concept since day one. I would also like to thank my boyfriend for his patience and support during this project (and on the reg).

All photos were shot on 35mm film.

As a side note: I know things have been slow here lately, but that will change within the month (if all goes well). I'm working real hard to get back on top of things, so a big thanks to those of you who keep coming back!

I have been working on a great deal of projects lately and been going through several changes scaling from small to huge, but the dust seems to be settling and I can finally breathe freely again. New Blog: Seams Essential

For the past month, I have been relentlessly working on a new blog called Seams Essential. It’s very different then I Just Needed to Vent: the main focus being the fashion industry. Of course, there are so many fashion blogs out there, why make another? The point of Seams Essential is to divulge information concerning specific niches in the fashion world, mainly European based, with certain exceptions (such as Los Angeles). Weekly store features will be posted as well as special event coverage. Fashion is changing; it’s becoming more and more a question of lifestyle and personal distinction. Seams essential caters to this.

A Girl can Dream

I’m a big sap when it comes to anything romantic, so you can imagine the impact Jen Campbell’s site Green Wedding Shoes had on me when I first stumbled upon it: combining beautiful photography, vintage accents, exceptional creativity and of course – weddings!

All I can think of now is “some day, some day…” sigh.

It was extremely difficult for me not to go photo-crazy here, but I really think the site deserves a visit... or two, or three!

Wish I Thought of This

Think about it… The pantyhose are probably right.
Although passionate foreplay is most likely what will tear them apart, the double entendre made me smile. Then again, anything Ian Curtis related will do that.

Aqua Di Lara

I was in desperate need to find a new swimsuit. Last year I wore out all the excuses imaginable for avoiding pools and/or beaches. When it comes to bathing suits, I am as picky as they come. I wanted something really different this time, but nothing too crazy (I once bought a slashed up one piece Shan swimsuit that till this day remains unworn).

When I fell upon this gem from Aqua Di Lara, right then and there I knew I would make this summer a wet one.

Side note: I am aware that my left forearm is swelled to the size of a baseball bat, but that is because I elongated my sleeve 1/4... it will be back to normal in a few days.

Baby, it’s Cold Outside

Found this mint condition vintage fur coat for $60 at a thrift store today. I wasn’t in the market for one or anything, but thought… looks good, dirt cheap, what the hey! Maybe it’s all that Billie Holiday and old movies I’ve been listening to/watching.

Ze Moustache

Is making a comeback… Although perhaps it never really left.
After the Handle Bar, the Chevron, the Toothbrush, the Walrus and the Fu Manchu, you would think that the moustache has pretty much coved all the facets of upper-lip facial hair styling. Well if this is the case, you thought wrong!

As I have discovered on http://www.magic-pony.com/ (the web site for a contemporary art shop and galley – 694 Queen St West, Toronto), this charming masculine trait has found its way into the most peculiar places.

I know Mr. Gloomy Bear here has nothing to do with moustaches, but I felt it was necessary to share his existence with you good people because I have never seen such an awesome plush toy. If ever I have children, it’s going to be all about the bloody teddy bears and rabbits with facial hair. Who am I kidding... I’d get them for myself!
