I Am My Own Betrayal

Guillaume Morissette has been a friend and colleague of mine for two years now. The first time I read a poem of his was during a poetry workshop. I was so impressed by the submission, I wrote my phone number down after my comments before handing it back to him.

Last week he launched his first book "I Am My Own Betrayal" and I seriously urge everyone to get a copy because this guy's work packs brilliance in every word.

I had the honour of taking the cover photograph. Here's a breakdown of its symbolism made by Guillaume himself.
